Gymnastics Team

WELCOME TO AIM HI TEAM!

At Aim HI Gymnastics, our Competitive Team program offers a fun and focused next step for athletes ready to take their skills to the next level. Starting as young as age 4, athletes are introduced to structured training and the exciting world of competition across Trampoline, Tumbling, and Double-Mini (learn more down below).

Our program is designed to grow with your child—from learning foundational skills and routines in early levels, to progressing through higher levels with strength, confidence, and sportsmanship. Athletes train in a team environment where encouragement, dedication, and goal-setting are part of every session.

Team members have the opportunity to compete multiple times a year in local and regional meets. Each competitive path is thoughtfully designed to match an athlete’s age, skill level, and readiness, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience.

Whether your child is just beginning or ready to soar, Aim HI’s Competitive Team is here to support every step of the journey—with passion, purpose, and a whole lot of flips!

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR EVENTS

TRAMPOLINE

  • Learn More

Trampoline is a high-flying event where athletes perform routines on a single trampoline bed. These routines are made up of 10 connected skills, including straight jumps, tucks, pikes, twists, and—at higher levels—flips and combinations.

At the beginner levels, athletes focus on body control, form, timing, and safely connecting basic jumps into a smooth routine. As they grow and advance, athletes begin learning more dynamic skills and increase their difficulty.

Trampoline helps develop coordination, spatial awareness, and aerial confidence, making it an exciting and essential event in our program. It’s not just about bouncing—it’s about learning how to move with precision and control in the air.

TUMBLING

  • Learn More

Tumbling is a powerful, fast-paced event performed on a spring floor runway. Athletes perform "passes"—sequences of connected flips, handsprings, and aerial elements—that show off strength, speed, and technique.

Early tumblers may begin with skills like cartwheels, round-offs, and back handsprings, eventually working toward combinations of back tucks, whips, and twisting flips. Every pass is judged on form, control, and landing.

Tumbling is a favorite for many athletes because of its energy and challenge. It’s also a great way to build full-body strength and explosive power that carries over into other sports or gymnastics events.

DOUBLE-MINI

  • Learn More

Double Mini (DMT) combines the launch of trampoline with the momentum of tumbling. Athletes sprint down a runway, perform a skill onto a small two-level trampoline, then launch into another skill off the trampoline to a landing mat.

Each pass includes two skills: a mount and a dismount. The event requires precision, timing, and courage as gymnasts perform complex aerial skills in a short amount of time and space.

For beginners, the focus is on mastering the run-up, correct technique when mounting the trampoline, and learning to land safely. More experienced athletes will progress to twisting and flipping combinations, aiming for powerful yet controlled landings.

DMT is a fun and fast-paced event that challenges both the athlete's skill and mental focus—great for kids who love movement and excitement!
