General Information

  • Time Commitment

    • The Humuhumus will practice twice a week for two hours at a time. Sunday practice is mandatory. 
    • The Honus will practice three timmes a week for three hours at a time. Sunday practice is mandatory.
    • The Manos will practice four times a week for three hours at a time. Sunday practice is mandatory.

  • Other Commitments

    • All members on team will be required to condition outside of practice. 
    • All members on team, including families, are highly encouraged to participate in local events and fundraising. 

  • Travel Expectations by Team Level

    Travel opportunities vary by team level and increase as athletes progress through the program:

    • Humuhumus (Levels 1–3): Travel is optional. Local competitions are available for those who prefer to stay nearby.
    • Honus (Levels 4–7): Travel is not required but highly encouraged to gain experience and exposure at larger meets.
    • Manos & Elites (Levels 8+): Travel is a mandatory part of the competitive season, with meets often taking place out of town or out of state.

  • Expected Costs

    Annual Dues:

    • Aim HI Membership - $60/$110/$150
    • USAG Athlete Membership- $25 (first time athletes / $73 for returning athletes)
    • Hawaii State Membership - None for 2025

    Training Cost:

    • The Humuhumu's - $200 per month
    • The Honus - $275 per month
    • The Manos - $350 per month

  • Other Costs

    Competition Fees: 

    Fees will be based on the events themselves and shared as quickly as possible. Costs will include coaching hours, travel, judge procurement, etc.
